Jeanette LeBlanc, writing mentor and book coach

Jeanette LeBlanc

Under construction

I’ll be back soon.

Stay tuned, I’m rebuilding this site from the ground up. Never fear—while I’m in design land, everything below is still running behind the scenes.

Hey—I’m Jeanette LeBlanc. Reformed good girl, sovereignty catalyst, word witch, and creative provocateur (though some folks know me as a writing coach, creativity mentor, and voice-unleashing teacher). I’m designing a brand-new website right now…

If you came looking for a writing or book coach, a creative sovereignty mentor, or someone to help you wrangle your brilliance into creative content and get your voice out into the world — you’re in the right place. You can also read the essays, buy the book, grab some art, or find me on social. It’s all here.

Who’s doing all this

I’m a writer — by accident, and by trade.

A self-published author who guides other humans toward sovereignty, truth and bravery, using the stories of their lived experience as the vehicle. It took me a few decades and a lot of trial and error (and error, and error) to find this work and the way I do it — clinical research doula, non-profit founder, childbirth doula, wedding and portrait photographer, all of it.

At 32 I left a safe and predictable marriage — handsome husband, house in the suburbs, two perfect kids — to come out of the closet, and started writing publicly about my life as a queer woman. I couldn’t find anyone online telling my particular story, so I sat down and started telling my own. That changed everything.

The common thread through every attempt at purpose was the power of our stories. Owning them. Speaking them. Writing them. And standing in the open space that exists once we do. Writing is often the method and the route, but it isn’t the destination. That destination I call sovereignty.

“What would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open.”

Muriel Rukeyser

And once that world splits open, anything and everything is possible.

Andrea Gibson, spoken word artist

Jeanette has one of the most compassionate voices I’ve heard, so fully tender, and lit with gratitude.

Coaching, mentorship & content

Work with me

Writing mentorship & coaching

Memoir, essay collections, book proposals, a Substack you keep not sending. Part writing and book coaching, part creative sovereignty work — with a side of somatic awareness and nervous system support so you can write the hard things safely.

Content strategy & concierge

I’ve been called a builder of story systems and a protector of brand soul, and I’ll take it. Audit the system you already have, find the brilliance buried in it, run the launch — and if you want it, I’ll write the words too.
