You are a work of art in continuous progress.

Quit judging yourself for not being finished yet (hint: it doesn’t work that way, love).

Not with art. Not with healing. Not in relationships. Not in work or passion or love. Not anywhere in the complex and contradictory work of humaning.

Step back from the canvas, dear. Get a different brush and some fresh new paint. See what wants to be born this time. Get messy. Let loose. You were never meant to be done creating yourself.

You are meant to continue becoming. To keep revising. To write a draft of what you want your life to be and then to rip up the paper and start over. To layer on new words and change definitions and to scrawl in the margins. To change the rules. To alter the contract. To begin eternally again.
